Looks great. I see some nice valve imprints on your piston crowns. ;) Is that why the head had to come off?

What kind of car is it going into? Looks like an automatic 700. It will be sweet. Same color as my favorite one out of my fleet.

Hard part's done, just needs timed and given some fuel and air and it's ready to fire up!

VERY good info to have right here, especially if you dont want to go with the OEM gasket and risk failure with high boost.

Actually the steel headgasket IS the OEM gasket. Volvo doesn't sell anything but the MLS gasket anymore. The only way you can get a fiber composition gasket is if it's an aftermarket one nowadays. Tasca is a big Volvo dealer in RI that sells parts wholesale online.

Agreed the piston protrusion data is good to have posted though. ARP studs plus the metal gasket will be bulletproof.

Maybe I'm retarded but looking up 84 volvo 760 I cant get the listing for head gasket to come up. I already ordered it through the dealer anyway, but it would be interesting to know.
