Here it is folks, some video of the diesel! First is from a stop, with a little brake torque. Cant really hear the turbo as much as I thought you would be able to, the exhaust kinda drowns it out. Then again it really screams around 20lbs or so but this is at 15lbs.

Here is from a 20 punch. You can kinda hear the turbo spool for a split second before the exhaust drowns it out. Look closely at the boost gauge, and you can really see the potential of this turbo. Ok spool from 0 up to about 8 or 10, then watch the needle peg at 15! It climbs insanely fast above 10lbs of boost.

Here is a startup, just to hear the turbo spool when it first starts. You don't really notice it idling all that much since it kinda blends in with the exhaust sound, but when started and you hear the exhaust with no turbo, you can hear it start to spool a little... Kinda cool sounding. Yes it cranks kinda long, its that way when hot.

Looks great. The spool isn't all that slow. You could turn the fuel down a bit though... lots of smoke!

Oh hell... The smoke isn't that bad! Its only real black before the turbo spools to clean it up. At 15lbs is almost using all the fuel. It could probably use more fuel to help it spool faster. I'm not going to bother messing with the injection pump untill I get the intercooler setup on so I can turn up the boost to go with it.

Nice one with some tweaking to the fuel pump you could probably get the same power but without smoke... You guys across the pond have a little company in canada performance diesels there is a guy there named Giles that is a guru on dieselpumps...
A lot of people on vwdiesel.net are using his pumps....

I know of the giles pump. I have the afc set screw bottomed out for max fuel with no boost. I could tune it for a little less, but fuel=power! Besides, I like being able to drown people that tailgate me in a huge cloud of black smoke. Its what makes the car so much fun. Also, the smoke wouldn't be near as bad with a smaller exhaust housing which I am working on getting. If the turbo would spool a little sooner it would clean that smoke up real quick. Once its spooled and going by, there really isn't much smoke.

Yes people tend to keep the distance behind me aswell but once my spare engine is overhauled I am looking for power without smoke....

The car can smoke as hell before turbo pressure but with full pressure it should`n smoke. Just a little. I drive komatsu and volvo wheel loaders at work and they smoke as hell before the turbo pressure but when it has full pressure can i drive upp a real upphill with the pedal to the metall without any smoke. I really like does 6-cylinders big machines:) My uncle has a scania 93 sement car? and that have a 6-cylinder big engine who is turned on the pump:cool: That scania smoke as hell before the turbo pressure!!! I got to have a scania like that when i get the license for that.
