Found this at the junkyard last weekend. It's a Chirs Bogue rebuilt back in 2004. Kevin even helped put this motor together when he was working for Chris. The main reason it was there was the driver side motor mount was broken and the mechanical fan was hitting the body. I don't think it overheated, the left over coolent in the radiator looked good and heater hoses. So I paid $370 for the entire motor and M46. If I knew I would of waited a week and would of paid half that this weekend because everything is going to be half off.

Looks just like the one that was in my 245, except mine had a metal headgasket. Looks like yours has the fiber type. Mine was a 3-hole metal and yours is a 3-notch fiber.... does Chris even measure the piston heights when he puts the motors together, or does he just use the thickest gasket every time?? I have seen 5 of his motors and every one of them has had the thickest possible gasket in it. I can't believe they would have all needed it. I bet 90% of motors that have 3-notch gaskets in them should really have 2- or 1-notchers. Seems like they would be better runners with the right gasket installed.

Going to put this in your 244?

Yea, it's a fiber headgasket not sure on the thickness. I already have a D24T on a engine stand that is going in my 244. That motor has a metal headgasket that Chris did a head job on. My plan is to put this N/A motor in a 86+ 245 or find a nice 75-80 wagon instead.
