I never saw a turbodiesel in usa labeled on trunk as 740 turbodiesel.

and I never saw Volvo seats like that.

and I never saw a td with 89k miles. and the front tow eye has the cover! rare sight.

never seen a 700 series here without the sunroof.

it looks clean though. On another website, it is listed as TDI . LOL. and they say they freshly installed all belts and all glowplugs and all injectors AND rebuilt IP. I wonder if they know how d24 specific engine tools look like at all. I really wish they did all that service.

My '85 740 has the turbo diesel emblem and has no sunroof. Mine has 93000 miles.

my D24T is an '85 740, it does have a sunroof though, in fact one of the reasons my parents ordered the 740 instead of a 760 was because they wanted a manual sunroof, they couldn't get the 760 downgraded to a manual sunroof.

I just had my hands on the original title last week, 82 miles on it, has 293,300 now. Was also surprised the model was listed as Turbo and not 740.

All 3 of my 740s say 740 Turbodiesel on the back. 2 are manual 85 wagons and 1 is an 86 auto wagon. all 3 have crank sunroofs. ive looked a a couple sedans and they always had the same badging as the wagons for the respective years.

I might consider going to look at this car, its only 40 minutes from me. I looked at the interior pictures on my computer and its much clearer that they have all been reupholstered, not extremely well but not horrible either. The buy it now price is way too high though, they have it listed for slightly less on their site, but if they want it off their lot they will need to drop a bit more than a few hundred.

nope, its still for sale, price is still going down, I'm just waiting it out, if I can grab it I'll grab it, if someone else does, Ill live without it, the seats really piss me off, horrible reupholster job.

Yeah I have been inquiring about it in the last week. The price was down to $5,500. I sent him an email and offered $4,500. He said the lowest he could go was $4,750.

I think the rover guys have good experience with diesels, don't we use their 12mm IP rotor/head? My '85 has the 740 trunk emblem. I also figured out it was shipped as an automatic car, so someone manual swapped it at some point. The title also says it was white, which is odd because there is no white paint visible anywhere.
