The car is not mine. I do not know the owner.

Sounds like a scam to me.

Latest message on the listing was:

"I suspect I'm the guy in Mississippi who sold you this car - it sure looks like the one I had. What might be worthy of mention is that the original owner was a very nice woman who sold the car because she had stage-4 cancer and could no longer use the clutch. I collected the car in Dallas, Texas, and met her husband and grown son. This is a remarkably decent family, and they cared for their mother and her car as they would have their first-born. I had no qualms about driving from Dallas to Gulfport, Miss. in this car and had zero problems with the car thereafter. The timing belt had to have been recently changed, because that's the first thing I always do when I buy a car, especially if I don't know its history, If I didn't know the belt was still good, I would have had it changed in Dallas before making the two-day drive to Gulfport. Good luck with the auction - the car still looks good."

This reminds me of my time at the American Legion Boys' State years ago, when the fellow who was running for "Governor" of Boys' State, claimed that his dying Mother encouraged him to run for Boys' State Office....great spiel!

The car sold for $6,605 (Enlisted his friends to bid last minute?), which is well above the vehicle's worth. The last Diesel 245 was listed at $6,000 but only sold for $3,500 and that was in much better shape.

I could be wrong, but this all sounds fishy to me, like the 245 D6 that was for sale in Plattsburgh not long ago...

He listed it again: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Volvo-240-/311500850188?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4886e5c40c:g:rvwAAOSw7FRWWon7&item=311500850188

This stinks like left over sardines.
Just like the Plattsburgh 245 earlier in the Summer, he raised the price and relisted.

It is very sad indeed if there`s someone playing with this. It was $2600 when i posted it here. No reserve. FEEbay should be very careful then.
I hate tan btw. The only one i had with tan, got fully replaced with darkest blue striped cordurouy. (spelled right?idk.)

So this car is a scam? does it exist at all? or not?
Let`s follow.
