Hey, I'm writing here in hope that someone would comment on my choice of turbo for a D24T. So the turbo is Schwitzer S200, some times called S256. It's a twin enrty t3, The A/R is 0.89 which should compare to Holset HX35 12cm^2 hotside, compressor wheel is 53mm and the turbine wheel is 59 mm. I'm planning to run around 30 PSI of boost and not rising the redline. What are your thoughts? Is the hot side too large?

I personally believe it's too big.
Will you be running a larger plunger in the pump?

I ran my old 244 d24T+IC with the injection pump maxed out (180-220hp) With a turbonetics super 60 turbo. I don't remember the compressor specs off hand (largest t3 compressor) but it had a .48 AR exhaust housing and a 49mm exducer.
I did some testing on back pressure, at 25psi boost I got ~40 psi back pressure.

It was a great turbo for mid range performance and great spool up in everyday driving. You could jump up to a .63 AR and up the exducer a bit to gain some top end HP but loosing out on bottom-mid range.

I have a 12mm pump waiting. And I don't really mind about losing the low end torque as this car won't be a daily driver, I just need 30psi or more boost. I'm also planing to try out the quick spoolt trick you can do with twin scroll housings, how it works is that you have a butterfly valve that blocks one side of the housing and opens up as the turbo is spooled up.

I have a Holset HY35 and I can make 18-20 psi by 3500 roughly depending on the gear. It makes 5psi by 2500 and at 3k its making 10psI. I doesn't start to pull harder than the stock turbo till about 27 or 2800. It's basically a turbo off of a newer Dodge Ram Cummins with the 4 inch outlet on the exhaust housing.

That's nice Mojica, I ran about 18 psi with the original turbo and intercooler and I didn't have any problems. But you know the size of the hot side on that HY35 you have?

I cannot for the life of me find out the size of the turbine housing. All I can find is the size of the turbine wheel which I believe is 61 mm.
