Back to trying to sell this after several months of being too busy. This car has run its course for us, for me as a project and as for my daughter's first car. Here is what's new:
-90,000 actual miles, passed Phoenix emissions in 2014
-clean body spent it's life in dry NM and AZ, decent paint (white)
-2.4L I6 engine professionally rebuilt <1000 miles, very clean internally
-injector pump professionally rebuilt 2014
-all new timing belts, drive belts & hoses
-turbo checked and cleaned, replaced inlet pipe
-new tires
-new a/c components, including compressor
-engine compartment almost completely re-wired
-removed fuel tank and cleaned; metal fuel lines flushed & rubber hoses replaced
-replaced glow plugs
-rebuilt starter and alternator
-new headliner & seat covers
-auto transmission serviced - no parts changed, but shifts smooth, fluid was clear
-radiator flushed, no leaks, new thermostat
-new brakes, system flushed
-ps pump cleaned and flushed, bushings replaced
-new throttle linkage
-many plastic trim parts replaced (hello junkyard)
-new windshield
-new valve cover gasket
-includes comprehensive set of factory green books AND 85-87 volvo factory parts book (what a life saver that is)
-includes all receipts and many extra parts
here is what still needs work
-slight oil leaks near the oil pump and pan
-really rough idle and smoke when cold, but smooths out quickly, I suspect it just needs the cold start timing adjusted
-glow plug relay light stays on
-dash cracked
-radio doesn't really work
-missing trim piece lower front glass (I have it)
-rear pass. side taillight lens cracked
But it starts right up and gets me where I need to go. $1800 obo in Phoenix Arizona area. I wanted to give this crowd 1st shot before it goes on CL. Bill
